Think Outside of Your Website! SEO is so much more than just building it, then preparing it for SEO and so on. Putting all of your eggs into one basket is genuinely one of the stupidest things you can do. Just as with your nest egg you do not want to just dump all of your money into one investment, diversify! This holds true with advertising on the internet. Don't just build the most expensive and fancy website you can afford. You need to invest in 50% into your site, and 50% into good SEO. There are as many ways to "Think Outside of Your Website!" and get some good free advertising in return! Social Media - Create A Facebook page not only is it free, but a good place to interact with your customers. Same with Indeed, Instagram, and YouTube just to name a few Google My Business - Again if you have ever searched on Google and then came up with a map and listing of business in your area with your desired keywords you can get on this list for FREE! Reddit.com - A public forum for people to answer and ask questions about products, services and ideas. Again FREE posts (Just don't post advertisements, post answers to people's questions then mention your business) Yelp - Even though they accept advertising just listing with Yelp can help your business. These are only a few of the outside services that can link to your website, creating some nice backlinks to your site. Try other search engines such as Bing (Microsoft) or Yahoo (Verizon) and many others. Just because Google is the biggest doesn't exactly mean you will not get additional traffic to your site. One thing to remember is that the more work you put into something, the better it will become. If you build it will they come? That is the ultimate question for you to answer!
